Product Description
Type AC (Armored Cable), commonly called BX, features insulated conductors enclosed in a flexible spiral-wound steel armor with an internal aluminum bonding strip that works with the armor to provide an equipment grounding path. This eliminates the need for a separate ground conductor in many installations.
Rated 600V, Type AC cable is ideal for branch-circuit wiring in commercial buildings, exposed or concealed in dry locations, and where running through studs and joists. Available in common configurations from 14/2 through 10/3 with ground, it meets NEC Article 320 and UL 4.
